The most common things seem to be, rent a cheap business location; print up business cards; print up cheap signs and stick them all over the roads. Make outrageous promises about what you can fix, if anyone calls you, and then either do just what that person could have done for themselves (write or call and either ask for better terms from the banks, or lie and claim that negative information is inaccurate and demand it be removed, in hopes that they won’t check up on it, though they always do).
In other words? Most “credit repair businesses” are either unneccessary or scams.
The better ones offer things like credit consolidation loans, on good terms. If you have lots of money or great credit yourself, you could try this… I never quite understand how they make money from this though, without charging high rates to cover the losses from the ones who have the low credit ratings for good reason.
